Encounter 2 – Kejoo Park and Young W. Song at Galerie Uhn

Königstein (kW/GS) – On Saturday, Galerie Uhn opened an exhibition featuring the Korean artists Kejoo Park and Young W. Song.

Kejoo Park, born in 1956 in South Korea, is a painter, architect, and landscape architect. She studied painting in New York and then continued to Harvard, where she focused on landscape architecture. These stages outline the artist's work, which is characterized by contrasts between humanity and nature, internal and external, painting and object art. Her works juxtapose rough and hard materials like concrete and steel with vibrant colors and precious or delicate materials like gold or paper. She establishes relationships between the elements need to be protected and their protective enclosures. This is done with a forward-looking perspective. Nature and freedom as fundamental pillars, which we cherish like a precious treasure – this hope is symbolically manifested in Kejoo Park's exhibition.
